背景信息：

LYPD2 (LY6/PLAUR Domain Containing 2, Also known as LYPDC2; UNQ430) is located on human chromosome 8q24.3. The LYPD2 protein is biasedly expressed in esophagus, stomach and other tissue. Structurally, the encoded LYPD2 protein is reported to be 13115 Da in mass. 68 organisms have orthologs with human gene LYPD2. LYPD2 is associated with some diseases, such as Mal De Meleda. Among its related pathways are Metabolism of proteins and Post-translational modification- synthesis of GPI-anchored proteins. An important paralog of this gene is SLURP1.
