背景信息：

PCSK7 (PC7) 是类枯草杆菌蛋白酶前蛋白转化酶家族的一员 (1,2)。与该家族的其他成员一样，该蛋白在基序 Arg/Lys-Xn-Arg 内的碱性氨基酸（剪切位点）（n=2 或 4）上剪切前体。报道称，PC7 位于反式高尔基体网络、细胞表面膜以及膜内化的再循环囊泡中 (2,3)。PCSK7 的一个功能是在生长因子加工（如前 EGF 到 EGF、前 VEGF-C 到 VEGF-C）和 BDNF 神经肽成熟中发挥关键作用。PCSK7 还参与转运蛋白受体脱落来调节离子平衡 (7,8)，同时还与 MHC I 类稳定性有关，可调节免疫应答过程中的抗原呈递 (9)。
